Justine has a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. She also has a course certificate in animal behavior and welfare from Edinburgh University in Scotland, and is currently working toward becoming a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP).
In addition to her work with dogs, Justine has care and behavior training experience in zoos and aquariums. Since 2007 she has operated Enrichment and Beyond Animal Care, and Enrichment Consulting, which she founded. Before that she was an intern at the Humane Rescue Alliance in Washington, DC.
Justine has also served internships at the Wings of Wonder Bird Show in Cincinnati, Ohio; the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston; and the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley.

Dog Latin is now accepting reservations for 2021 puppy classes, along with Training on the FLI (focus, leash skills and impulse control.) In addition to classes at the Kenwood Canine Clubhouse in Bethesda, we will be holding classes at Bone Jour in downtown Bethesda.
