about peyton winter

Peyton Winter is a 2020 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va.

She comes to Dog Latin from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue in Fairfax, Va.,  where she is a dog trainer and behavior specialist.

Peyton grew up in a dog training family and was introduced to standard basic obedience and leash training skills at a young age. In high school, she participated in the Tufts University Adventures in Veterinary Medicine summer program, which included hands-on experience with large and small animals.

She is currently studying a variety of training methods and animal behavior theory. She is particularly interested in behavioral modification for dogs with resource guarding and on-leash reactivity.

In her spare time, Peyton enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking and paddle boarding with her dog, Viago.

New training options for 2021

Dog Latin is now accepting reservations for 2021  puppy classes, along with Training on the FLI (focus, leash skills and impulse control.) In addition to classes at the Kenwood Canine  Clubhouse in Bethesda, we will be holding classes at Bone Jour in downtown Bethesda.

And, if you would like Dog Latin to come to you, please consider our new one-on-one SAT (sidewalk activity training) sessions.
